Devon County Council should hang their heads in shame! they don't listen to the local community and they're now spending even more tax payers money to fight a judge's decision to restore the High Street to its original one way up route.....absolutely disgraceful and undemocratic!!!!

Seriously need to address immediate traffic problems. When vehicles are stationary due to congestion (noticably increased by road reversal) they become Zero mpg pollution machines which nobody wishes for. The lost time due to increased congestion must also have a quantifiable affect on south devons business efficiency. Can data from the bridgetown hill air quality analyser be obtained to correlate with dates of road reversal?? Stuart Morrison (electrician)
It's simply bizarre that a lovely town should say, effectively, "Welcome" and "No Entry" simultaneously. That is stupid, the policy on traffic may well lead to irrevocable ruin and the silliness must be challenged and defeated. Fight on.

Really good luck to you and I hope this works. Totnes has become a shocking mess of traffic jams and new builds. There is the heart of the town that cannot be easily accessed by all the local towns and villages, this is killing the towns business. I do not understand why there cannot be traffic calming with the traffic also going the right way up the high street. Who ever heard of a welcome sign also saying no entry. Or a council that would rather there be so much traffic around the town as to stifle the very ease of access that anyone would want to create if they wanted the place to thrive. I was born in Totnes, I live in Totnes, and it is a mess. I wish this ends soon and we all get on with thriving again........
