Happy to pledge! My parents met in Ruskin Park 65 years ago. My children were born in KCH and I brought them to play in the playground and paddle in the summer. It's part of our history! Happy Splashing!

Well done for organising this - it just goes to show that communities can pull together to keep their precious facilities open in the face of cut backs. Well done Lambeth for offering the chance for us all to run it (now give us Carnegie Library!) Jim, Clare and little Evie.

Our kids are too old for the paddling pool now, but they have had much fun in it over the years. I really hope you manage to save the paddling pool for the next generation of children. Well done and thank you for your efforts.

Claire Lundie 13th April 2016

Amazing effort from the team driving this and huge thanks from the Lundie family as we look forward to hanging out at the paddling pool again this Summer. We heart Ruskin Park! Claire, Fraser, Ruaridh & Flora X

Pam 2nd April 2016

Thank you for all your efforts to save this super play space for my grandchildren. Well done, you.

All of Us at the Dogstar Brixton support your campaign and we hope that we can do more to support you throughout the summer. We were touched by what we've read and will wish you best! - All at the Dogstar

So sad and angry that Lambeth has pulled funding for this. I have very happy memories of our kids using for many years. Very well done for this initiative.

John Cagan 31st March 2016

"Save our summer!" - it's great to see the support here for Ruskin Park and shame on Lambeth Council. (What about Carnegie Library, too, folks?)

Shireen 29th March 2016

if you are looking for someone to help once a month I'd be happy to volunteer! My daughter loves the paddling pool and we'd hate to see it shut! Well done you have almost reached your target. Good luck

Gower Tan 28th March 2016

While our children are a little old these days to use the paddling pool, we had many lovely days here and greatly value this as a community asset. It brings great joy to many and I fully support maintaining this facility. Well done and thank you to all involved, especially Magda and Gaia for volunteering.

Williams 28th March 2016

Lambeth getting it wrong again while paying themselves massively with our money, then spending a fortune on marketing while closing libraries and paddling pools and blaming it on someone else. Thanks to Magda and Gaia for volunteering this work.

Jane Eames 26th March 2016

Well done, great initiative, we love this pool in summer and are very sad to hear council cut funding. Impressive amount raised so far, will spread the word!

Ros 23rd March 2016

The paddling pool is such a wonderful place for local children of all ages to play and have fun in the summer months. It has been enjoyed by so many children over so many years and losing it would be a tragedy. Please don't take away yet another safe, fun and free environment for our children that hugely benefits them, their parents and carers, and the local community as a whole. Let's keep fighting!
