Save Our Hubs
Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

We are fighting the closure of out of hours services in Weardale and Teesdale and need to raise funds to promote the campaign.

by Catherine Robson in Frosterley, England, United Kingdom

We started the campaign following the announcement from the CCG that the Hubs at Stanhope and Barnard Castle are to close following the consultation carried out by the CCG. The CCG say that the services were underused but we believe that appointments were not (and still are not) being offered to people calling 111 which is the only way to access the service. People were not aware that there is a service there for them to use, and when calling 111, were directed to Bishop Auckland instead.

Furthermore, 60% of respondents to the CCG’s survey opposed the closure and many people highlighted the poor awareness of the service and lack of signposting/direction via 111 in their responses, but the CCG have not demonstrated how these responses have been factored into the decision to close the service.

Got an idea like this?

Our crowd has raised over £70 million for bright ideas and good causes.
