Sarmaya is a project idea that I am currently working on but requires initial capital to make it run for the first 6 months.
I am really bad at explaining things so bear with me:
People will pledge for physical businesses. Initially, I am thinking for 3 categories: Gym, Hotel, Resturant, As these businesses have high and guarantee return. Think of Sarmaya like Crowdfunder (where I am pledging) but for physical, tangible entities. The difference will be in Crowdfunder you don't know the people you are pledging money to (you don't know if I will run away!). However, at Sarmaya the company itself will be doing the establishment and running the business.
Where will our money go?
The Investment will help run Sarmaya for the first 6 months that will include: Website/App Fee (~£2000), Employees fee (~£1000/month) and Advertising (~£10,000). *I myself will NOT take ANY salary*
How will Sarmaya get Investors:
Just like Crowdfunder does, With lots of advertising.
Who are looking to invest their money but it's not enough to open a full business.
How Sarmaya make money?
We charge 4% service fee and a 10% share in the business.
Will Sarmaya have more categories over time?
Can I ask more questions?
Yes! Of course, you can.
*Sarmaya website is running and the advertisement is getting us some attention*
Sarmaya will have a Pledge for Gym page where will have the whole feasibility report of a Gym
- Where we will rent the place.
- How much it will cost.
- Where we will get the equipment from.
- How much we will charge for the membership fee.
- How much we will spend on advertising. Etc Etc.
*Investors Invest £100,000 for the gym.*
We will open the gym with that money. To show the Investors the progress that pledge page will turn into a group where we will share all the improvements and expense.
*Fast forward 6 Months*
The Gym is making the profit now, Ever investor will get their profit according to the %age of shares they bought.
*If things go bad*
The crucial decisions will be made with the consensus of the investors. If 51% of the owners are not happy with the results and want to shut down. The amount will be distributed after deducting depreciation/appreciation. All can be discussed on the New Group Page for that project.
