Sandro's Online is a platform created for children & adults with Autism to enhance their daily lives through the art of baking.
After working with Autism for 10 years I personally know how amazing these individuals are but unfortunately they are most of the time in the dark, whether its accessing services, employment or training, it is super challenging for them to live a fair life and that isn't due to their learning needs but more to do with our society & how we view this community.
We are determined to change the views society has on Autism, encourage and promote change for individuals & families living with Autism to have a improved lifestyle.
Overall we have a vision for real change in the Autism community, according to Autism society, 70% of adults with autism don't access supporting services, we want to be able to make a great impact towards that percentage.
Our overall visions are to:
- Create a positive & uplifting online learning environment.
- Develop our organisation with real customer feedback, we want to be able to create a almost personalised service for our customer groups.
- Create opportunities for learning, engagement, bonding & creativity from home.
- Create employment opportunities for adults with Autism.
We want to eventually reach a stage of creating employment opportunities however for the beginning of our organising we are solely focused on growing our brand awareness and creating effective impacts within our communities through our online workshops.
Our baking workshops are designed by our stakeholders, the families and children have helped us develop our workshops and make it more personal for their experience.
Our workshops are both practical and interactive, we will be learning to make different bakes, such as cakes, breads & biscuits alongside, participating in interval activities for learning or even fun.
The aim for our autism workshops is to create a positive community for learning and development. With this workshop we focus on teaching families & carers to bond with their young person or child, Engage in home learning activities & to structure for further development from home. We will also be providing extra support with our family rep for our families involved, our support will be providing resources, a safe place to speak about experiences and meet new families.
How will we use raised funding?
Our programmes are term time based and we will be starting a new programme from the 31st October, our online workshops for our specific community groups are completely free to access. Therefor we don't make any income & depend on people like you to help us continue the work we are doing.
Money raised will be used for the following:
- Zoom subscription
- Activity packs
- Volunteer expenses
The funding we are trying to raise will be solely for our upcoming 6 week programme and will be used solely for our autism groups, raising £1,000 will ensure that we can continue our work with 20 of our registered families.
