To improve the safe practice offshore giving the user a tool to better enhance good practice and removing hazard/risk to personal injury

by David Jenney in Normanby, England, United Kingdom

I Have worked in Oil & Gas for over a decade. During my career I have noticed a particular task carried out in a way that it puts the operator at great risk of injury. Having seen this task carried out in this way repeatedly day in day out I thought there must be a better way, a safer way without putting your self at risk. So I drew a sketch on a piece of paper and went along to a design company an d the idea was born. Together we have created a product. It has been ten months of blood sweat and tears but I now have a product. I have had one prototype made, tested the method and it works! I have made a few minor adjustments to enhance the design and make the patent stronger. I am now ready to produce the mk2 prototype. Now the patent application is not in yet but is the next step.
