With 2020 being a challenging time for many, were determined to end the year on a high and with that, were attempting a #RUNNINGHOMEFORCHRISTMAS* challenge (which courtesy of the new tier system) has now been morphed into #RUNNINGHOMEFOREASTER and/or #CYCLINGHOMEFOREASTER
On March 26th a group of likeminded runners and cyclists will set off from London with the aim of finishing in Poole (or respective end points) four days later. Most of the group will complete 120 miles** but some will only use two days to make it home (lucky for some!). As well as arriving battered and bruised, we hope to raise some much needed money for three worthy causes: TRIBE Freedom Foundation, RE:ACT and rock2recovery.
Although training has stepped up a notch, Easter will come around fast! Motivation will most certainly dip on occasion so we're looking for an extra boost by raising funds for three worthy causes:
TRIBE Freedom Foundation has made it their aim to end modern slavery. Their work raises awareness of trafficking, empowering survivors with long-term support and enabling frontline projects to prevent modern slavery. Now, more than ever, the pandemic has put greater numbers of adults and children who are already in, or vulnerable to modern slavery, at even higher risk of exploitation, so your support could not be more important.
RE:ACT is an emergency and crisis response charity operating in the UK and overseas. They repurpose military veterans turning them into agile humanitarians capable of rapidly deploying when people need urgent relief. During CV-19 they've been working closely with the government, voluntary sector and Army to protect lives and bolster frontline services.
Rock2Recovery save and change the lives of those in our Armed Forces, our veteran community and their families who are affected by stress. Their approach is to inspire, coach and motivate towards a more positive future.
PLEASE donate small or big and help us cross the line knowing we've supported some great causes!
Our growing team is as follows:
- Tim Hartnell
- Emma Hawkins
- Hamish Keene
- Zane Irvine
- Jack Blackmore (Days 1&2)

*THE MORE THE MERRIER...This can be completed anytime, anyplace, anywhere and by anyone! We invite as many of you as possible to get out there and organise your own #RUNNINGHOMEFOREASTER or #CYCLINGHOMEFOREASTER challenge. Please remember to use hashtags so we can track progress!
