Running London Marathon 2019!!
We did it
On 15th February 2019 we successfully raised £50 with 1 supporters in 28 days

This year I’m RUNNING the London Marathon instead of sitting on the sofa watching it and raising money for two charities.

I’m no Paula Radcliffe ( I certainly don’t poo at the side of the road!) but I go on the occasional run and do the odd race now and then. I usually watch the London marathon, from the comfort of my sofa nursing a hangover, saying “one day I’m going to do that!” Well the 28th of April 2019 is that day!

I’m lucky enough to get to run with my old uni friend and got a place through I.M.P.S.

“ The Injury Minimization Programme for Schools (I.M.P.S) empower young people to take responsibility for managing their own risk and gives them the skills to cope in an emergency”

The charity teaches children how to prevent injury and the importance of not getting injured and also how to help in an emergency with first aid from calling the emergency services to placing someone in the recovery position to using an AED.

I’m also raising money for Velindre Cancer Centre. As the premier Cancer Centre in Wales Velindre is well known for providing high quality radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments, care and support to cancer patients.

However, each year Velindre also spends over a million pounds on funding ground breaking research programmes into many areas of cancer.

Please give as much as you can these are both NHS charities and rely on donations to thrive. Without money these charities will be unable to fund the important training, staff, resources and research.
