  • This is about Tom Spencer, and his young family. At the age of 42, Tom was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) a rare and progressive neurological condition caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain. In other words, increasing numbers of brain cells become  damaged over time leading to loss of balance, movement, vision, speech and swallowing.

Tom can no longer be left on his own for fear of falling; and alterations need to be carried out on his house to accommodate his needs.

Tom, his wife Phillene and his 3 children Anton, Monica and Tamsin; are facing devastating challenges.

We want to help and to show our love and support for Tom and his family. So we are doing a 10k sponsored run.  Anything that you might choose to contribute will be pledged to the ‘Tomathon’ Crowdfunder to help with caring for Tom and to support the family.

Let's make 'Running 10k in solidarity with the ‘Tomathon’.' happen
