Having started as a service with a single clothing rail in a house, this service (supported by the local Rubery community) has grown exponentially!
The growth has been associated with the demand for the service combined with the generosity of the community, schools and businesses.
This summer there were 733 orders received for school uniform items for approximately 840 children. Luckily, at the begining of the summer holidays, the service was able to secure a premises to operate from - without this the service would have been forced to close.
Unfortunately, retaining the premises costs money - there is the rent, electricity, insurance etc. Fortunately, the service has secured some of the money to cover this cost...but there is still £2,500 to find.
Can you help donate a small amount to keep us running until 2022? People often forget about school uniform after the summer holidays - but the requests to our service are received all year round. Just think about some of the most vulnerable children and what their circumstances entail.
Our service has provided hundreds of coats and shoes to ensure that children stay warm and dry, arriving at school ready to learn.
Please help us if you can - thank you for taking the time to read this
