We would like to create a calm and relaxing outdoor space to give service users ‘space to breathe’ before or after they access our support

by ROTHACS in Rotherham, England, United Kingdom

ROTHACS  provides support to women, men and young people, living in Rotherham, who have been affected by the trauma of domestic and sexual abuse at any point in their lives.  Each year we support over 1000 survivors of trauma abuse in their recovery journey.

We are based in Rotherham and are there for the people of our town. Although our building works inside we recognise the courage people take to ring our door bell and would therefore like to provide them with a safe, secure, calming and relaxing area providing them with a 'space to breathe’ before or after their counselling sessions.

We are reaching out to the people of Rotherham to help us crowd fund for our garden development project. We believe this space will support our service users in their recovery journey, we will involve them in the garden design, bringing the work they complete during counselling to the garden and ultimately share experiences supporting one another reducing stress and anxiety and ultimately empower them to help themselves and each other.

Thank you for considering our project - ROTHACS
