Robin Hood at WWT London Wetland Centre

Help tiny theatre company Shadow Road stage an exciting new promenade production of ROBIN HOOD at the WWT London Wetland Centre this June!

We did it!

On 13th Jun 2016 we successfully raised £1,180 with 34 supporters in 35 days

With King Richard the Lionheart absent, corruption and injustice are rife in England.  The country cries out for a champion - and in the heart of the forest, a legend stirs...

Shadow Road Productions are delighted to be bringing a brand new, promenade production of Robin Hood to the WWT London Wetland Centre, one of the UK's most spectacular nature reserves and important conservation charities, in June this year.

Written specifically for the Centre by our Artistic Director, Emma King-Farlow, it is the first event of its kind ever to be staged there and we very much hope that you will join us, Robin and his men, the cruel Guy of Gisborne and his minions and the hopeful people of Loxley on this exciting, immersive adventure.

From a wedding to a jailbreak, from time spent by a woodland fireside to sword fights, robbery and murder - Robin Hood at the London Wetland Centre has got it all! :-D

What we are raising money for

Rehearsals have already begun but we are going to need your help to make it happen - sadly, those swords, tabards and shackles don't come cheap!  Weaponry, costumes, props and rehearsal space, to say nothing of insurance, set dressing and sound and lighting - for the indoor locations along the route! - have all added up.

We raised some money to put towards the show by staging a special night of Songs From The Musicals at the end of 2015 and we have put each penny of that to very good use but we always knew we would need to run a crowdfunding campaign to raise the rest.

We would be extremely grateful for any help you feel able to offer - and we hope we have provided a wide and tempting variety of interesting rewards and experiences for you to choose from in return!

It is also important to mention that as any profit made from this production will be split with the London Wetland Centre, by helping us you will also be helping them - as we are trying to - with their vital conservation work.

Do please consider buying a ticket to the show.  We'd love to see you there!

Help us to spread the word

If you are unable to spare any money at the moment, you can still help us by spreading the word - both about this campaign and the show itself - to friends and family, colleagues and acquaintances, and even to followers and contacts on social media etc.

Many thanks for taking the time visit this page - and thank you in advance for any help that you may be able to offer as a result.  It is HUGELY appreciated. :-)
