My name is Jae. I've worked in an ordinary motorcycle dealership for over 6, here I have gained all of the knowledge I need to set up my new business and make it successful. I have also made extra money at the side of my day job, by buying and selling used motorcycles and parts.
Research involved
To begin with, I did some research, where I found a large gap in the market for a road legal mx dealership. Dealers sell new vehicles that require MSVA testing, etc, however not one specialises in the sale of used road legal mx bikes and quads.
How I plan to use the funding
I plan to use the funding by firstly setting up shop, with a purposeful unit that is secure enough to hold the vehicles and insure it all. Once everything is ready, I will use more money to buy the stock and begin converting vehicles if required. The remainder will be used for marketing.
Narrowing it down
At first, I will specify in the 125cc Motocross bike market. I chose this market as it's one of the largest growing markets for transport in the UK. The sales figures from motorcycle manufacturers shows this. We will quickly expand the range to include bigger MX Bikes and ATV's, but not until we have started making a healthy amount of sales from our first range of vehicles.
