Plymouth Aspire Girls FC was founded in 2016 by passionate parents that wanted to give girls an opportunity to grow the sport of football for girls in Plymouth.
We started with nothing financially and very little experience wise and have learnt through ups and downs over the last two seasons. We now have three successful girls’ teams moving into the new season ahead.
We have recently acquired our own home base and pitches located at Plymouth Speedway and have become the first girls only grassroots football club in Plymouth to have its’ own home and training ground just for girls’ football.
Our challenge now is cutting the grass every week. The grounds have capacity for a full size 11v11 pitch (120m x 90m) but we have it marked currently for youth football.
It is going to be a huge undertaking to cut the grass every week ready for the league Saturday games - the grass needs to be cut by parent volunteers and with a small mower would take endless hours each week.
A ride on mower owned by the club would enable us to maintain the pitches to ensure they are in the best condition possible for the matches every week. We 100% rely on volunteers to help us to continue to grow the girls game in Plymouth are surrounding areas.
Having a home ground has been an amazing achievement for our club and ensures the girls can continue to play football in a safe friendly environment.
Any support to meet our goal and purchase a ride on mower to make this weekly task more achievable would be amazing for the girls. Please help us to keep these and more girls playing football
Our Philosophy is to create a fun, enjoyable environment to develop and nurture girls football skills, to their own individual potential - whilst at the same time building friendships in an imaginative and inspirational way.
