Hi, I'm Brian Reynolds, back in 2006 I was lucky enough to represent the UK in the global adventure race called the Land Rover G4 Challenge. This was a multisport race around the world using Land Rover vehicles to get to remote competition locations and compete with 17 other nations to try and win the overall competition. Stages 1&2 were held in Thailand and Laos, South East Asia, where the off road driving and adventure challenges were incredible. The Rang Rover Sport that was allocated to Brian performed really well and was returned to the UK by Land Rover after the event completed, being sold privately and disappearing from the motoring community for a few years.
The vehicle, BV55YZP, has recently been spotted by the G4 Challenge Club and it has come up for sale in recent weeks. Brian and the club would like to keep the vehicle in a perfect condition to preserve the 2006 memories for the UK, as Brian won the Team Spirit Award and has supported the club over the years to keep the memories of the since cancelled event alive.
It's proposed that Brian becomes custodian for the vehicle for the rest of its life, being responsible for its maintenance and upkeep. In return for this, he will exhibit it at Land Rover shows and adventure sports events, passing on his experiences on the Challenge to inspire people to participate in adventure challenges in the future.
