Current state of playing surface

As can be seen from the project image there is virtually no grass on the playing surface.

A bowling green should have a grass surface and as we don't have the machinery or the knowledge to carry out the work we need to bring in a specialist contractor.  

Reason for funding

The quotes for the work are well over our available funds.  We need to complete this work before next season so we can attract new members to keep the club alive. Your help through crowd funding will help us reach our target.

Crown green bowling is a non-contact sport - a sport for all including those with disabilities. A sport the whole family can take part in. There are different levels, social, club and county so you decide at what level you wish to participate. Bowling is for the community,
