I opened my restaurant just after the eat out to help out offer from the british government. At the time cases were falling and the pandemic looked to be under control.
Since the 10pm curfew the streets have emptied and trade is nearly non existant. I worry for my employees and would like to guarantee that I can keep them employed until a vaccine has been administered to the population.
I have a very talented team including my chef who has produced a varied menu with lots of homemade dishes and meditteranean food that is different to elswhere in the local area. I have four other staff also who need to make a living.
The money raised will go towards staff wages and help towards fixed costs as well which, if we do lockdown again, the government support comes nowhere near to meeting the costs.
