Peekaboo Play Cafe is a huge part of the local area, and a great support to our children, families, and small businesses. Help us reopen!

Hi i'm Abby, and I run Peekaboo Play Cafe, in Dorking Surrey. Privately run by myself from North Holmwood Sports Club, Peekaboo is a safe, friendly play cafe for parents and guardians of babies & toddlers to bring their children, allow them to play freely amongst the huge number of toys and games, while they sit, relax, enjoy a hot cuppa and a meal, and above all else connect and socialise with other parents and guardians.
I opened Peekaboo to help conquer loneliness and isolation in those early years of raising children. I myself have two young children and they were a huge inspiration for me opening Peekaboo.

In my short two years of running the cafe, I have helped many people in the community get out with their children to a place they can feel safe, not judged, and afford a cheap meal. I have a stall of preloved clothes which do not have a price, just the request for a donation to the 'Toy Fund' which is to help repair or replace toys that have been damaged during playtime.
Peekaboo helps host sessions on mental health therapy, breastfeeding support, child sensory, job coaching and recruitment, baby massage sessions, hypnobirthing, and so many more, which supports local businesses in the area, as well as offering my customers help where they may need it most, and the chance to experience a class before signing up, and the business owner to promote themselves for free. I also help parents with small businesses come in and run a stall each week, allowing them to expand their customer base, and sell their products. I love to support small local businesses and have so far made a big difference to many people in the area.

My business is a humble one that allows me to still be a mum to my two children, but also reach out to other parents like myself and create an environment for them in a beautiful little part of the town. I have been closed since March 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, and I'm asking for help to rebuild the business for reopening in 2021. My customers need me, and many are currently isolated and need Peekaboo back in their weekly routine. Just read some of the reviews I have received on my website:

To everyone who donates over £5.00 I am giving away a FREE Peekaboo '10% off' Mug which you will receive when Peekaboo reopens. If you bring this mug to Peekaboo when you visit, you will get 10% off the price of your drink.

My aim for 2021 is to keep on giving back to the local area. Get small businesses up and running again, helping children who have been shut away for a year out and about socialising, parents chatting over a cuppa, and of course, I want to get back to work making this all happen!

Please help me get back to business!

Thank you, Abby xx
