The past 3 years has greatly disillusioned me of the notion that the kids are not wise enough to be trusted with a say at elections. It more often than not the youth that have been at the forefront of the the important political changes that we now take for granted. It was the older generations that predominantly voted for brexit and trump and it is the older generations that are more likely to ignore the climate crisis whilst the young stand on the front lines
Young people will be the most affected by the era-changing decisions that are going to be made this winter in the UK. They deserved to be heard. They have the duty to add their voices to the debate.

Any government, representative or member of “on board media” who refers to our young people in those terms needs booting out of power for generations. That’s one reason out of thousands.

Young people, more than anyone should be empowered, informed and encouraged to vote. They are our future, we need more young people getting involved.

It is their future, not mine, I am 72. Young people have to make their voice heard and get a better deal. Keep asking your friends if they are registered to vote. Make it an outing to the polling station then pub!
Brilliant idea. There is nothing more important than this. Young people voting en masse could change everything for the better.

The future of this country and indeed the world is in the hands of the younger generation. It's a huge responsibility and I pray they vote wisely!
The future belongs to the young - it is vital to get them signed up to the democratic process so that they have a voice....
We must encourage the younger generation to get out and vote (tactically) like never before-for all our sakes.
Absolutely essential that we get as many people registered to vote as possible - and that they then DO vote...

We old people should not harm the future of the young
It's important to have your own political identity and discover whose approach to other humans and aspirations for living in this world fits with your own feelings and understanding. Voting does give you a power as long as you keep thinking for yourself and ignoring media hype and pressure. Our voting system still needs to be fairer and more representative of minority views. Britain needs your input of fairness and caring and the world needs your courage.
In these bizarre times, you the young are our only hope. Vote!
