The Club was founded in 1898 and has been at the heart of many families and the community for many generations.
Unfortunately, one of our biggest nights, Bonfire Night has had to be cancelled due to the National Lockdown. As the club is purely volunteer run and usually relies on bar takings, sponsorships and fund raising events to keep us going you can all imagine the huge financial impact this will have on the club over the upcoming months.
Like many community sports venues, we have struggled to stay afloat during the pandemic.
Saving the club was priority, however funds have been used on utilities and damage caused from vandals and break-ins. We are now looking at taking the club forward by improving facilities and creating a safe and secure environment for players and guests.
Now turning to crowd fund, to help raise the funds to refurbish and create 20 changing bays and leveling and sealing the floor. This would then free up the junior changing area, and help bring back grassroots junior and female teams.
