Following the success of our previous project, Carriers for Kos this new initiative aims to assist expactant mothers in camps and conflict zones who have next to nothing to prepare them for the arrival of their babies.
In the Scandinavian style, we would like to supply each new mother with a box containing post partum essentials. Every box would contain a blanket, 2 babygros (newborn and 0-3 months) 1 sleepsuit, 1 jumbo box of nappies, nappy bags, 2 packs of baby wipes, 2 packs of maternity pads, a tub of Sudocrem and ideally a baby carrier.
To achieve this we are relying not only on material donations of carriers, clothes and blankets (which can be donated via a thread here) but also monetary donations for bulk supplies.
Our boxes work out at about £20 each. Our goal is to ship 100 boxes in August and as such are looking to raise £2000 so we can create, pack and send the boxes out to brave women and their vulnerable babies. To let them know we're thinking of them and are trying to help in whatever small ways we can.
The need is so great, please help us reach these mothers and babies and help them welcome their babies with these small but significant supplies.
