I would like to plant the gulleys in Rectory Gardens so they look like a river bank planted with evergreen grasses and ferns. Unlike plants or shrubs, if grasses or ferns they are damaged, they will grow back.
These gulleys form the only part of the River Moselle which is above ground in Hornsey. The River Moselle was diverted underground years ago to build Hornsey.
The £250 will cover a quarter of the area. Over the coming years, it should be possible to divide the grasses and ferns to cover the unplanted areas.
Donations of any size are welcome!
Would you give a small Christmas present for our environment?
