We at Cricket4Charity are trying to raise money for Chance to Shine. We plan to do this by organising Cricket matches at some of the UK's biggest Cricket venues, such as Lords, The Oval and Edgbaston. Income will be generated by charging each player a "match fee" to be part of the occasion and what an occasion it will be. For a lot of Cricketers, the best experience they get is in the Premier League of their local association and while some the club grounds in the UK are incredible, they are not Lords. We will give the lucky players a once in a lifetime opportunity to play at these big grounds with a match day experience to remember. Full coloured clothing with name and number on the back to wear and keep on the day as well as the full match experience including coloured stumps and Umpires.
Unfortunately, events of this type come at a cost and whilst most costs can be kept to a minimum through sponsorship and donations, some of the upfront costs, such as setting up a website are much more difficult to cover, so we need your help. Once we are up and running, the costs should be well covered by the money raised with a significant portion going to Chance to Shine.
So what will my donation go towards?
The setting up of a brand new website at cricket4chartity.com, this will allow us to present ourselves in a much more professional manner and allow us to advertise the positions better as well as allowing players to book and pay for their positions via the website.
We will also do some advertising via Facebook paid ads to gain greater interest in matches.
It will also cover the costs (if necessary) of any equipment required for each match. Hopefully, this will be covered by sponsors and donations but is not always guaranteed.
What will I get for a £200 donation?
Our goal is to arrange matches at the biggest venues in the UK and you can be part of that, for the first five people to pledge £200 you will book your place in our first ever match at one of the professional cricket clubs in the UK. We have ongoing discussions with the professional cricket clubs and we hope to confirm at least one very soon.
