The shop in question is an Off Licence/Newsagent/General Store in a good town centre location. I have a professional qualification in retail. Have worked in shop for 18 months and know the customers. Business healthy although current owner does not give it the attention it needs due to other commitments. I can. Have a business plan for the improvements which are required to upgrade the business. Have people lined up keen to work for me which would mean the shop is staffed properly providing "slack" to cover for sick / holiday absences unlike now. Haven't had a week off since last Sept when I injured myself unloading a pallet. The money would be used to purchase the lease of the shop and the goodwill plus the stock. Also several improvements need to be made with regards to health and safety, security and efficiency. Also sign writing and computer systems. Business plan available on request. The business is currently healthy despite one member of staff who is driving people away (I am currently the only local member of staff and people talk to me when I am out and about in town. Currently don't have the authority to do anything about it.) With the improvements I intend to make - new lines including fresh produce hopefully with a tie up with a local greengrocer who only opens 09:00 till 16:00 whereas we are open 07:00 till 23:00 (extra sales for them out of hours so should agree otherwise I will source elsewhere) my target is to increase turnover by 20% in the first year. Already £300,000. pa. Any questions I will be happy to answer. Email me on franceswilding2@gmail.com I love my customers and can't bear to think of someone else buying the business who doesn't care about the local community. Someone else who already has several similar shops is interested and to him it would just be another outlet to me it is personal and for the my customers and the community.
