During the current crisis we know that Wirral Council food scheme is doing a great job in helping people across Wirral and of course in Liscard and Egremont. But we wanted to start a parallel scheme partly to provide some types of food that are difficult to obtain through the main scheme. This includes items such as gluten free and food for people with allergies etc..
Also much needed are more fresh fruit and vegetables, pasta , tins, coffee and milk. There is no exclusive list - the aim is to get food where it is needed.
This will be run between the community groups Liscard Links and Voice of Egremont.
All money raised through this crowd funding will go into the Liscard Links bank account and then to the groups to purchase the food items. This will be overseen by the Liscard Links Treasurer, Chair and Secretary.
Those involved have a lot of experience in community organising and campaigning and will use that knowledge where it is needed now. So once the money is in it can be used quickly and effectively to get food help out in our community.
So please give what you can and the food will be made available to those who need it quickly.
Thank you.
