I am a profoundly deaf racing driver who has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I am supporting the charity by entering a Fiesta ST150 car, wrapped in charities livery, into the national rallycross championships.
The Championship series is televised by BT Sport and this will reach an audience in the tens of thousands, particularly men in the at risk group. I will give information out at race events, which get attended regularly by 10k people, and help raise funds towards future research into this terrible disease. Once I get to the point where I can't physically race any longer due to my cancer, hopefully a few years from now, then the race car will be auctioned and the funds from sale donated to Prostate Cancer UK.
I am presently trying to raise support, sponsorship, and funds to finish the car build in time for first race in May 2022 at Lydden Hill, the home of UK Rallycross. I need to raise a further £15,000.
So far we have support from the following companies who get advertised on the rally car; MJR Motorsport, Caged Laser Engineering, AS Performance Ltd, Ford Family Car Sales.
