Gairloch Hall provides accommodation for many differing local activities for an area covering 26 miles around the sea loch. The local newspaper, community car scheme, vets surgery, hairdresser, youth club and NHS storage all have dedicated space whilst the two halls and meeting room provides for regular exercise classes, social events, meetings, drama, dance classes, scouts, indoor bowls, ceilidh's etc for the diverse local community from youths to the elderly and infirm.
The Hall is managed by an enthusiastic Committee and employs a caretaker. A recent campaign raised a huge amount of money to replace the aging and leaking roof on the building and have the outside walls painted. Funding is in place to convert an attic room into a comfortable meeting room and to replace parts of the heating system and now the committee is looking at the small hall which badly needs new windows and doors to stop the weather in its tracks and to replace the aging small kitchen with clean and modern units making this hall so much more attractive to the groups who use it!
