Between May 23-24 the Cascadia Association Football Federation which covers British Columbia, Washington and Oregon will be taking part in a 4-team invitation tournament, the Southern Frontier Cup, hosted by International Surrey Football and help in south east England.
We're looking to support the competition and Cascadia with Canadian soccer fans coming together ahead of the 2020 Canadian Premier League season to promote the CanPL to a non-Canadian audience by sponsoring the tournament and supporting Cascadia.
Since debuting in 2018, 1 Cascadian capped player has already featured in the CanPL, Calum Ferguson, playing 8 games for Valor FC in the 2019 season. We'd ideally like to use the CanPL or One Soccer branding directly to promote the league with a sponsorship of the Southern Frontier Cup, or alternatively a "generic" branding may also be used to achieve the same goal.
We're looking to raise a minimum target £200 ($340) to ensure a bronze tier sponsorship in the tournament to promote the competition, we may also look at silver or gold tiers if CanPL fans as a collective reach those goals of £400 ($680) or £1,000 ($1,700).
We'll also look at contributing remaining funds to support the Cascadian team directly based on the amount raised, if we raise enough for a bronze sponsorship, but not silver, then the remaining amount left over from the bronze tier sponsorship will go to support the Cascadian team. Between the various supporters groups across Canada, we feel this should be achievable.
