Project aim
Raising funds to get a specially adapted trike so my son Nathan who is special needs can learn to ride, help with physio and weight loss
When Nathan was 2 he suffered a stroke caused by a blood clot forming on his brain, He needed a life saving operation. He was in hospital for a period of 4 months recovering and having to learn to walk, feed himself, sit up all over again. He has done so well but unfortunately left with no use of his right hand. And a right sided weakness / leg problems. His condition is called Right Hemiplegia.
Because of this he has been unable to do some things that other children his age can do and learning to ride a bike has been one of them. Now he has recently turned 11 I feel he needs to learn to ride a bike as not only should he be able to like his friends but it will further help with his physio and weight loss to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
However the bikes which are specially adapted don't come cheap, we need around £600 to get one. We currently have £200 but need to raise the rest and that's where you come in.
Please donate whatever you can. Thank you.
