Fund raising for a life changing lung operation.
Michael was diagnosed with COPD (emphysema) eight years ago. In June 2014 he was issued with a wheelchair which he has been dependent on since that time to get around. He has been informed that there is a procedure called repeu coil therapy that is being carried out by Dr P Shah at Brompton Hospital. This involves inserting metal coils in to the lungs to enable the air to travel freely.
The treatment is not currently available on the NHS and costs £48,.000 to have done privately. This procedure would enable him to live an healthy active lifestyle and no longer be dependent on the wheelchair.
If you could help us reach this target we would be incredibly grateful.
