We’re Martin and Lorraine a husband and wife team supported by great family and very special friends. Our passion is to establish our own distillery producing premium quality, small batch gin and based in the beautiful medieval and historic town of Warwick. Our goal is to produce a 45% premium quality gin that appeals to everyone even those who have not yet found their Gin taste buds (of course they will, it’s only a matter of time).
Our buildings are the Calf Pens originally used on our brother-in-law’s dairy farm. The decline in dairy farming and the need to diversify led them to launch a Microbrewery on the same site (Church Farm Brewery - as seen on Countryfile!) so a Distillery in the adjacent building was the obvious next step!
The original Calf Pens are nearing completion after being painstakingly renovated as you can see from these photo’s.
“Nellie”, our beautiful Copper still has recently arrived and is in the process of being installed. Any gin drinker knows that a still always has to have a name so why have we called ours Nellie? is named after the elephant in the room that we don’t talk about........ Martin’s Cancer – stage four malignant melanoma to be precise. Currently receiving palliative care in the form of immunotherapy every three weeks and he looks and feels surprisingly well considering. When he received his diagnosis he thought “b******, it’s time to have some fun” having worked hard in the Automotive trade all his life, he got himself on a distillers course so that he could follow his passion of making his own spirits. He tells the children it’s his legacy.

Our Gin and Gin School Experience
Our Gin is 45% triple distilled and a perfect blend of botanicals, both traditional and locally foraged, all distilled with water from our natural source on the farm resulting in a clean, citrusy, proudly British gin. Our Gin will be available in October 2018, please see our website to pre-order and social media to follow our progress.
Ours is not just a distillery but a destination too. We want people to be able to share our love of gin. We have a collection of Portuguese Al-Ambiq stills so that people can come to our distillery and indulge in making their own gin. We shall be offering afternoon teas with gin (obviously) served in china tea -pots. We shall also be offering personal visits for small groups to make their own gin and share that passion.
Why are we asking for your help
We have made huge investments into this project ourselves in both time and money. Starting a distillery from scratch is no easy feat. The cost of the still, the premises, the branding, the licensing, not to mention sourcing of the bottles and those perfect ingredients – but we are nearly there.
We just need the final ingredients and the recipe is complete. We're sourcing new bespoke bottles (CAD designs completed & moulds already manufactured), creating new jobs in our customer services team and investing in better bottling and labeling equipment.
Our new Gin School will be a unique and personal experience that everyone can enjoy and will bring visitors to the area. You'll get the opportunity to meet the team and sample a few G&T's. We would love to expand our gin variations and set up a sampling and tasting experience alongside our Gin School.
With your support we will make this happen sooner. We’re committed to making it a success.
Our crowdfunding project offers supporters a variety of rewards, including exclusive 1st Batch offers on our new bespoke bottle range, the limited opportunity to join us and celebrate at our VIP Launch Party and enjoy our authentic Gin School Experience at our Craft distillery. We believe these rewards offer excellent value for your investment and support.
