I am in Monteal, Canada, so let me know if you need more for postage (I was hoping GBP20 would cover it). Thanks, Dave.

Fond memories of recording at Beck with The Russians and of Derek and Mavis. Looking forward to reading the book. Great idea about the blue plaque. Julie Rebelowitchz

I always felt comfortable working with Derek. I always felt it took a bit of nerve recording your own songs. Would they be good enough? Would your mates take the mickey after listening to them? Derek took all that away with his friendliness and professionalism. He is sadly missed by all the muso’s that worked with him. Th Th Thanks Derek. x

Shine on all you crazy diamonds up there enjoying the Great Gig in the Sky. Roger would have loved that this book was finished so quickly. What an amazing achievement, thank you Dave and Mavis x

It was my honor and joy to be a friend and a small part of Derek's and Beck Studio's tremendous journey of musical creation through the years. This book brings all the pieces of that journey to light to reveal Beck's creative studio conductor Derek Tompkins.

I so enjoyed the first book and looking forward to the second. I knew many musicians of the 60 and 70s around Kettering and Northampton and loved the music of that period. The books bring back some lovely memories. Thank you.

This is the second part of the biography of Derek Tompkins, and if the first is to go by then this further volume will be even more fascinating as Derek's more modern work within the music industry is remembered. Having visited Beck Studio and 'felt' Derek's presence, let alone heard the fruits of his labours, particularly with the band Bauhaus and its members (recording collectively and individually) to mention just one, I'm going to be really interested to learn more about the pioneering and exacting craft that Derek exuded. It's a great deal to support this book; please do so.

Your first book was excellent, looking forward to the follow up. Great way to support the recording of local social history, people and events.
