We are a small dynamic team of artist printmakers and educators. We want to deliver 12 months of Print on Prescription sessions for adults living with mental health problems.
They can self refer to the project or join us via Devon Recovery Service. They will be able to attend one of two weekly half-day courses at our Exeter studio and have the chance to explore fine art printmaking (lino, etching, screenprint, collagraph, drypoint, monotype and monoprint).
The sessions will be supported by an experienced printmaker, volunteer and mental health support worker. Participants can work at their own pace and on their own projects.
The key aspect of this project is that we want our community print studio to be accessible to people who could most benefit from the chance to learn new skills and be creative. Printmaking is for everyone! There's always a process that will engage even the least confident participants.
This project gives more people the chance to work in a professional studio, with high quality materials to create their own artwork.
