We want to find ways to make positive changes to the theatre industry - join us and share the power!

Welcome to Morgan & Abi’s Power Share.

What would you do with a little taste of power? Would you share it, the way we always say we’ll do? Or would you keep it for yourself?

In an industry that often feels inaccessible, where opportunities are out-of-reach for so many, we want to examine the reality of carrying out an altruistic idea.

Morgan Lloyd Malcolm and Abi Zakarian will be in residence during their week and invite you to pop in. They will be joined by a different co-curator every day. There will be workshops, play readings and in the evening four short pieces, all programmed by the co-curators. We’ll also make space during the day to come and talk to us about writing, working and navigating this industry.

We want to find ways to make positive changes to the theatre industry; this week is intended to be the beginnings of something that will hopefully do just that.

We want to pay every artist involved a fair wage for their work and your donation will go towards this.

So come join the revolution and share the power!

Abi Zakarian is an award-winning British-Armenian playwright based in London. Her plays include: I AM KARYAN OPHIDIAN produced by Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre for the Sam Wanamaker Theatre; ENOUGH, produced by Small Truth Theatre for the Kensington Karavan Festival; and FABRIC, produced by Damsel Productions for SOHO THEATRE and a London Community tour. She is currently developing FABRIC for television, is co-writing a musical to be staged at Southwark Playhouse this year, and is under commission with Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

Morgan Lloyd Malcolm is a playwright and screenwriter. Morgan was commissioned by The Globe to write Emilia which became a sell out in summer 2018 and transferred to the West End at the Vaudeville theatre in 2019.  It has been optioned as a film and she is in development on this currently.  She is also developing a book adaptation for film with Lucky Chap Films and adapting her play The Wasp into a screenplay for Paradise City Films.  She is under commission for stage with Headlong, Lyric Hammersmith, Royal Court and Clean Break.

Morgan and Abi's power share is produced by Amanda Castro and Amy Davies Dolamore.
