POSE, is set during the swinging sixties, right in the midst of the fashion photography boom in London.
The film explores the relationship between a young aspiring model called Vera, and her mother Anita. The maternal instinct can be a strong one, what happens when it stands in the way of a persons dream?

- Booking Locations
- Casting Professional Actors
If you donate to my film, you could also receive a reward! look to the side to see what is available.
Meet The Team:
Damla Duru - Writer, Director, Producer, Editor:
I myself have a passion for editing, and I hope to pursue it as a career when I leave University in May. Since this film will be part of my portfolio, I want it to be made at the highest quality it can! Here is a link to my Portfolio/Youtube channel where I practice editing in my spare time.
James Coy - Director of Photography:
'Hi, I am James Coy and I am the Director of Photography for this film. I have specialised as a DoP for 3 years now and am honing my craft in order to deliver fantastic visuals that not only look great but also aid the narrative and the emotion of the film. I will be using Canon Cinema cameras as well as their Cine Lens range in order to create a cinematic look across the entire film. I was really drawn to this film not only because of its grounded and relatable story but also the evident visual style that it is attached to the context and period of the film. It is going to be an exciting challenge to pull off.'

Carina Kuczynski - Production Designer:
'Hi, I’m Carina, the production designer on “Pose”. I’m excited to work on Damla’s original drama, which takes place in the 1960s, because it will challenge me to incorporate period-accurate research into my creative designs. I look forward to designing an authentic photography studio, which will act as the main stage on which the drama unfolds. I will also be sourcing vintage clothing, accessories, and be in charge of hair and makeup to accurately portray this era. I am passionate about Damla’s film, because it will inspire young adults to make independent decisions and follow their dreams!'
James Adams - Sound Recordist/Designer:
'I'm James Adams and I'm the sound designer for this film. I'm really excited to work on 'Pose' because of the era it's set in and the unique challenges and opportunities that presents me as sound designer. I'll be working closely with the cinematography and production design departments to create a professional sounding film using a variety of methods and techniques.'
