'Face Value' is an absorbing photographic exhibition about the people of Manchester's LGBT Foundation – 25 portraits, each accompanied by the person's own words. The collection shows Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people just being themselves – varied, interesting, valuable, struggling with life and celebrating it, all part of of our great city's society. Stereotyping goes out of the window!
The exhibition will be launched by Manchester's Lord Mayor at the Royal Exchange theatre on the 9th September. It can be seen there by the general public for the following three weeks. In October, it moves to the Octagon theatre in Bolton for a further three weeks.
Some funding has come in, but we need another £250 to cover costs. Can you help? If 250 people give £1 each by the 9th September, we'll make our target. Any extra funds will go towards funding the catering for the exhibition opening.
