I'm an artist and illustrator based in North Cornwall asking for patrons to support my goal of taking my studio and literary inspired artworks on the road!

The Goal:

The goal is to create a small, clean working environment to take across this rural peninsula enabling me to show case my art with a pop up gallery.

Step 1: Rescue a vintage caravan/trailer from neglect and dereliction.

Step 2: Renovate, refurbish and transform the space to create a natural light filled studio and gallery to showcase my art.

Step 3: Take to the road to events and festivals in the South West.

Currently the vast majority of my work is parceled up and couriered world wide via websites and online galleries. This remains a great strength of our interconnected world that greatly benefits artists like myself. However, what I have found is a disconnect between my art and local environment. An ability to take a working space and a ready made gallery would open up a vast range of opportunities to connect with communities and other artists throughout the South West.

The Art:

As artist and children's author/illustrator, I spent my formative years in the US, West Africa and Amsterdam, painting oil portraits. A return to the UK coincided with a transition of approach, merging my traditional illustration with digital art and developing a characteristic style influenced by literature.

These artworks are now sold worldwide via online galleries including Artfinder, artgallery.co.uk, and my own literaryart.co.uk.

I believe the best voices to describe my artwork are the customers who have it in their homes and offices. I invite you to read through some of the 150+ reviews fed back to me here on Artfinder:

The Support:

Cornwall has long been a hub of creativity, something that is evident to see wherever you travel in the county. Historically and in the present, cultural patronage plays a crucial role for the arts. It is to you all that I ask for your help and support in making this exciting next step. It is also important for me that anyone who is willing and able to help make this happen has a taste of what it is that I will be taking to the road. All donations will therefore be rewarded with art from my collections, from gift card designs to framed limited edition prints.
