New stretch target

Any funds over our target will go towards the continued care of our cats and kittens.

Please help us to keep running

Like many small charities, this year has been harder than we ever could have imagined. Back in March we temporarily stopped homing our cats and kittens for around 6 weeks due to covid. Thankfully we were able to think of a way round this through contactless adoptions, to keep our rescue running and to enable us to continue helping cats and kittens in need.

The gorgeous tabby puss on the page photo, Oscar, is one of the 132 cats we have helped since lockdown started, and that’s not including the many feral cats and kittens we have trapped, neutered and relocated. He had been living as a stray on the streets for many years. Here he is settled in his foster home recieving some much needed TLC before he goes to his forever home soon.

We also had the gorgeous Cagney and Lacey, two little kittens found dumped in a childrens play bag at a construction site.

They have now found their new home together. Look how sweet they are....

Unfortunately not all aspects of our rescue have been able to carry on as usual. Our fundraising has taken a huge hit. We have been unable to plan many of our fundraising events, stalls, charity nights etc over summer which is our busiest time of the year with it being kitten season.

Our fundraising may have stopped but rescuing cats and kittens has not. This year we have dealt with many feral trapping sites where cats and kittens in extremely poor conditions have needed our help. We currently have 3 kittens still with us who have had on going lice for some time which has meant many vet bills. Very sadly we have seen some devastating cases of cat flu and illness and we have had to make some upsetting decisions as a team following vet advice. Unfortunately this included putting to sleep this beautiful little baby we trapped who was suffering so very badly.

It goes without saying all of this has taken a huge financial toll on us as a charity. The invoice below shows just an example of some of the equipment we have paid for recently. It’s the tip of the iceberg in between veterinary bills, equipment, cat food and litter.

We have started this fundraiser in an attempt to raise much needed funds to we have lost out on earlier on this year. All donations will go towards the care of our foster cats and kittens. We are so grateful for anything you can give as we know this year has been financially difficult for everyone.

Thank you as always for your continued support. Let’s hope we can hit this target!
