For the past year, The Silliad has been performing live in and around Yorkshire bringing an anarchic mix of mythological creatures, stories and gods to audiences and improvising a brand new myth every single show! Crucially, we have been answering the great questions of the universe! Questions like:
What's it like to eat your way out of a pastry pyramid? What if the afterlife was a big game of mastermind? What SPF does Odin use? Jam or cream?
But in August, we go far and beyond the medieval stones of York as we embark on a great odyssey in our run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. And as we all know, all great odysseys start with a crowd-fund and we need your help to expand the show and bring our legends to life!
Just think what Jason could have achieved if the Argonauts had chipped in.
Anything you can spare would be highly appreciated and your donations will be going towards:
- Making us sound as epic as possible with a new launchpad and tech system
- Brand new and custom-made props and costume
- Pesky admin fees and marketing costs
- Paying that surprisingly high cave rent (seriously, we're actually performing in a cave in Edinburgh City Centre)
Also we're offering a number of perks to backers from badges to a custom made marblesque bust. Check out the full list of perks and if you are in Edinburgh in August we would love to see you at the show!
