Plastic Toothbrush Exchange for bamboo!

We are the ECO Committee at Mill Stand Integrated Primary School & Nursery, in Portrush. We really care about our unique marine environment, our school is named after the beach over which it looks at Mill Strand. We carry out regular litter picks and are really worried about the amount of plastic we find and the harm it is doing to our oceans. We have already banned the straw in a unique initiative ‘The Last Straw’ and have fundraised for a 2 Milute Beach Clean Board to make the local community aware. We have also built a greenhouse out of recycled plastic bottles.  Now we want to do more! We want to set up an exchange programme so that pupils can exchange their plastic toothbrushes for more sustainable bamboo ones.
