We are a small Charity, Lake Community Gardens, based on the Isle of Wight. Our aim is to give local people a place to visit and take part in outdoor activities. We have a beautiful16 acre site with two lakes and an abundance of wildlife and birds. Due to the tranquillity of the site it has positive effect on mental well-being. The plot is roughly divided into four areas,  a recreational area, a growing area, an orchards and an unspoilt nature area with two lakes.

We have volunteers who enjoy taking part in physical outdoor activities, which has great therapeutic benefits. Our short term aim for this year is to develop the growing area, approx. 4 acres, to plant fruit trees, to complete coppicing and clearing the area around the first lake, to repair and decorate the club house. The second lake will remain 'wild' as a natural habitat.

Our long-term vision is to carry on what we are hoping to achieve by the end of 2019 which is developing and maintaining the site and involve more groups and individuals in our local community.

We need plants, seeds, fruit trees, gardening tools and equipment.
