Place and Chips is a hilarious semi-autobiographical solo theatre show. That explores the complex relationships we have with our bodies.
What happens when we no longer feel at home in our own skin and can’t stop thinking about fish and chips and mushy peas…curry sauce and ketchup with bread and butter and a can of pop.
A highly interactive, personal and riotous piece of theatre. Told through, clown, physical comedy, story telling and animation.
Devised and Performed by Alice Bunker-Whitney and Directed by Montse Gili.
This money will act as vital match funding for a successful Grants for the Arts Award from Arts Council England.
It will enable me to;
- Create the full length show.
- Work with the Unity Youth Theatre to develop a participatory strand for the piece.
- Work with a producer to book a tour, so the work can go further a field and reach as many people as possible.
