Society puts a lot of pressure on Fat Girl. All she wants to do is be with her soulmate Pizza. Instead, her mother signs her up for the reality show The Only Way Is Pretty. What will happen to Pizza when Fat Girl meets Hot Boy? Big is a personal ode to pizzas and body positivity.
Urvashi Bohra - Writer
Urvashi Bohra is a writer from India. In 2018 she graduated from Drama Centre London with an MA in Dramatic Writing. Her previous credits include The Loud and Clear Voice of Shanti (audio drama), Intezaar & Written in the Stars (short films) and Balancing Conflicts (Wildlife Documentary). She was also part of Kine Productions’ showcase ‘Remote’ at Theatre 503 in August 2018 and is currently writing a play for Captain’s Collections called ‘Noah’s Art’.
Rebecca Dilg - Producer
Rebecca Dilg is an independent theatre producer based in London. Previous credits include The Santa Crisis, Visions of Bradford, So You Say, I Will Miss You When You’re Gone and In Search of Myself. Upcoming projects: Illusions of Liberty at the King’s Head Theatre in May 2020.
Georgia Leanne Harris - Director
Georgia Leanne Harris is a theatre director primarily working in new-writing. When she’s not spending her time helping to run and develop the White Bear Theatre in Kennington, her recent credits include Harley & Me (Lion and Unicorn Theatre), Beyond the Grave (Plymouth Barbican and Etcetera Theatre), Jasper Red: Press Play (Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and assistant directing Keith?! (Arcola Theatre main stage). She’s really excited to be working at the Vaults Festival.
Erin Gill - Fat Girl
Erin Gill is a professional actor, who is making her Vault Festival debut in Big, having trained at the highly acclaimed Identity School of Acting. Some of her previous theatrical credits include: The Pereria’s Bakery at 76 Chapel Road and Ok TaTa Bye Bye. Erin is also a writer and a poet currently working on her upcoming poetry book “Full Circle”.
Vaani K Sharma - Mother/Jane
Vaani K Sharma is an actress from London with a passion for Bollywood. Vaani played Mrs Grizz in the USA action feature film, Hellkat. She also played Emilia in the TV series, Interneurs and Detective Shabnam in an upcoming crime drama series for a renowned TV channel. Whilst being a qualified medical practitioner, Vaani is also an advanced Bollywood dancer and has appeared as the lead actress in Bollywood/Narrative led music videos. Vaani was the lead actress in various Diwali commercials for global companies and is trained in Boxing/Taekwondo. Vaani is a Grade 5 singer, is able to speak 4 languages and has appeared in various theatre productions/musicals. Her passion for acting began at a young age when she appeared as an actress and singer in the hit Bollywood film, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Geraint Rhys - Pizza
Geraint is a Welsh actor based in London, recently graduated from The Oxford School of Drama. A fluent Welsh speaker, and a keen musican, Geraint's recent stage credits include: The Wizard of Oz (Tour), Hysteria (Backstage Theatre) and Shudder (Soho Theatre)
Ewan Pollitt - Hot Boy
Ewan Pollitt is an actor and playwright who trained at the Oxford School of Drama. His recent acting credits include 'Reactor' at the Tristan Bates, 'Product' at Mountview and 'Shudder' at the Soho theatre.
Putting on a play is quite a costly venture and even though we have secured some funds, we still need your help to make this show as awesome as possible.
