Who are we?
Pig Iron Brewing Company is a 3-Barrel Microbrewery based in Rowley Regis specialising in traditional real ales.
Starting in 2014 in Brierley Hill, then moving to Rowley Regis in 2017 after purchasing a traditional black country pub in the heart of Rowley Regis, The Britannia Inn, The brewery has steadily been improving and expanding, with another outlet being purchased in 2016, a tiny micropub called The Weavers Real Ale House. The Weavers won CAMRA pub of the year 2016 & 2017 as well as winning the CAMRA Super Regional Pub of the Year and getting to the top 4 pubs in the country! The Britannia is also going from strength to strength, winning CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year 2018. The original brewer, Tim Hibbert (Tim from Zim), came back on board in 2019 and has excelled the Brewery forward substantially with his attention to detail.
Our core range of beers include Blonde, Brew Brit, Bell End Bitter, Eureka! and Workin Mon's Dark. We hope to improve and build on each one of them with the help of this crowdfunder.
Why are we Crowdfunding?
Adaptability in business is essential and at this point in time, especially within the hospitality trade, it is crucial.
The unpredictability of the restrictions put in place on the pub trade has meant breweries have had to completely change the way they brew. Expanding the brewery would allow us to adapt to the current situation we find ourselves in. The expansion would include a pressurised bright tank, a carbonation tank, cooling vessels and a refrigerated storage area.
Following this, we would then be able to move into canning, bottling and mini kegs as well as enabling us to perfect the quality of our existing range of beers whilst also developing new and exciting craft beers and real ales that will be able to be enjoyed in both pubs and homes everywhere.
Thank you for all the support, as we are so close to Christmas we will send out a gift a card for all rewards to be given as gifts if needed.
