In July I will be traveling to Romania where I will help to build a large barn with others volunteering from St Laurence school alongside the charity - People against Poverty. Together we will visit a town called Peris, Romania which is heavily over populated. The population in Peris mostly consists of orphans, which is one of the main reason we want to help them live an easier and happier life.
The barn will be built close to the orphanage and therefore can be used to store supplies and rear livestock, as a result it will provide a constant supply of food for the children living at the orphanage. Every year a group from St Laurence school embark on this trip and slowly we are making a difference to many peoples lives.
In order for me to be able to go on this trip I need to raise £420 for the materials required for the build. I hope to raise this money by living off £1 per day for food for one week. I am funding my accommodation and travel myself. The money I hope to raise is for the building materials for the barn. If you would like to donate, anything you give – no matter how big or small – will be put to very good use.
