We want to create an off-grid glamping experience based in the Peak District National Park where people can reconnect with nature.

We love the outdoors. We get a lot of enjoyment and positive energy from spending time in our local countryside. We think it is very important for overall mental health to get away from modern society and it's trappings. We want to create a space where people can immerse themselves in the landscape and connect with nature in safety and comfort. The Peak District sits between the two large industrial areas of Manchester and Sheffield and we believe that there are large groups of people living in these areas that could benefit greatly from this experience. At the same time we want to protect the land we are using from any harm which is why we have elected to make our yurt completely off grid.

The Interior

We are hoping to install solar panels for basic power and use a composting toilet for our waste. I also hope to get a rainwater shower installed. The yurt will have a wood burning stove inside and a comfy seating area so people can relax and enjoy time together even if it's cold or raining outside. Many families could really make the use of spending quality time together without distraction.

The Site

We have secured a wonderful site for our yurt right in the heart of the Peak District. All we need is the funding to buy and and install everything we need and we could be up and running in a matter of weeks. Here are some pictures of our outstanding location.

The social benefits

The yurt would suit young couples and families alike but it could also have far reaching social benefits. I hope to connect with local charities in Manchester and Sheffield who might be interested in bringing people up to the site. Many young people from disadvantaged backgrounds could benefit greatly from spending time here. My wife also works for Manchester college with learning disability students. She strongly believes that her students would benefit from spending time at the yurt. We are in the process of making this happen!

Where the money goes

Your donation will go on purchasing and setting up the yurt. We will need the yurt itself, composting toilets, a rainwater shower, a wood burning stove, solar panels, interior LED  lighting, furniture, and interior decoration.

Thank you all for your continued support. We hope that you can join us on this wonderful journey. I hope in the future to have many of these yurts throughout the area but one step at a time! If you have earned one of our rewards, we look forward to hosting you at our beautiful location.

Thanks again!
