I’m a social entrepreneur passionate about revolutionising the care sector by allowing people to age with dignity and live out the rest of their lives more comfortably, particularly people from Black, Asian and Ethnic minority communities (BAME). I’m the founder of Pamoja Care, the first tech-based company with a special focus on catering to the BAME communities by allowing the clients to pick care workers based on their cultural preference, with the aim of breaking down the cultural and language barriers between the care workers and their clients.

I’m also a Global Health & Social Medicine graduate from King’s College London, with experience in tech through my involvement with the Women in Social Tech accelerator programme as well as coding classes with Tech(know) where I learned to code in Swift. I also obtained a Scholarship with Entrepreneur Lab by CIEE where my knowledge on marketing, sales, and finance has been refined. These experiences have led me to network with various industry experts and win the runner-up position in the Care Innovation Challenge, 2019.

After a year of intense research, we built our website, social media pages, designed the app prototype, and have refined our idea to ensure that we provide vulnerable adults with the best services. With the money, we raise we will develop our app.

We believe that culture is a huge part of our lives so it should be part of our care too, with your help we can make this a reality!

We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see our Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
