The Covid-19 situation is still critical.
The UK may be starting out on the road to recovery, but the Covid-19 situation in other countries - particularly India - is critical. Over 350,000 new cases are being reported in India daily, and hospitals and health centres across the country are overwhelmed. Patients in critical conditions are being turned away, and over 220,000 people are reported to have lost their lives - with the real toll thought to be much higher. People in India need urgent help.
Through their VaccinAid campaign, Unicef are doing incredible work to ensure no one is left behind in the race to end the COVID-19 pandemic. They aim to deliver 2 billion vaccines, 5.6 million tests and 5.5 million treatments around the world this year, in the biggest health and logistics project in history.
We want to help.
The Pact Team want to support this vital mission by raising £5,000 by collectively covering a distance of 5,000 kilometres - on foot and on two wheels. While only a few of us have been vaccinated so far, we know how lucky we are to live in a country with an advanced healthcare system and freely available vaccinations - and we want to pay it forward.
All your donations will help to 'Give the World a Shot', and provide Covid-19 vaccinations for health workers and the most high risk and vulnerable people on our planet. Thank you so much for your support!
