The Peter Ashley Activity Centres Trust has had to close both the Activity Centre at Fort Purbrook and the Equestrian Centre at Fort Widley due to the coronavirus pandemic.
These beautiful Victorian forts were built to protect the community, and now we need the community to help protect the forts.
As a registered charity we rely heavily on our income from the activities and residentials we provide and so we are asking for your help at this challenging time.
We have put together five options for you to enjoy our most popular experiences, or you can make a donation if you'd prefer.
Support us now by pre-paying for your horse experience session at Fort Widley, 2 to 1 coaching activity session at Fort Purbrook, group booking for corporate days or with a group of friends and family, tours of our historic locations or simply a donation! All of the options can be purchased as a gift too! Once you have made your pledge, we will contact you to arrange your booking when we are open again as normal.
The forts are truly unique and a part of the UK’s rich heritage. We have proudly taken on the responsibility to give them our constant attention, to maintain and upkeep them and to offer them to all of our visitors as an inspirational setting for our variety of activities.
Not only will your donations help us in the short term during this period of closure, but it also means that when we hit our target; we can apply for match funding from Solent Local Enterprise Partnership.
At the Peter Ashley Activity Centres Trust we strongly believe that when the lockdown comes to an end, it will be more important than ever to encourage our community of children, young people and adults of all abilities to re-engage in new challenges and experiences, to keep our bodies and minds active and most of all to have fun!
Thank you for doing your part to help our charity, staff and volunteers.
