ZamScotEd SCIO

ZamScotEd is a Scottish charity that support vulnerable children in Zambia. We initiated a secondary school on the outskirts of Lusaka, which has now grown & has over 500 pupils. A number need support, & we pay school fees, provide uniforms & lots more for around 50 - 60 youngsters every year, as well as raising funds for special projects, such as equipment for the new home economics department. We are most concerned that the girls achieve all they can, and that means addressing period poverty every year. We hope to meet the UN sustainable goals of gender equality, quality educatio, & poverty eradication. If the girls from challenged homes can’t afford sanitary product, they miss vital schooling. This year we will also support some of those girls in the school hostel so they don’t have long walks to & from home, leaving them too tired & hungry to study. We rely on the help of generous supporters to enable all this support - we are hugely grateful for such generosit.
